Celebrity Fight: Portable, Trade Words by Carter Efe

Controversial singer Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, and comedian Carter Efe exchanged heated words during a tense face-to-face in Ikeja on Tuesday, ahead of their celebrity boxing match scheduled for May 1.

The two social media stars nearly came to blows as they faced off in front of a crowd of more than 50 fans, forcing security staff to intervene to prevent the situation from escalating.

Portable came into the event displaying spiritual charm, signaling confidence in his chances of winning.

Addressing his supporters, he boldly declared that he would defeat Carter Efe, eliciting loud cheers from the crowd.

The singer, known for his energetic personality, also made gestures suggesting that he was ready to end the confrontation decisively.

Portable, who had previously participated in fights against actors Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, attempted to initiate a physical confrontation at the location before law enforcement intervened.

Carter Efe responded with the same intensity, refusing to be intimidated.

At one point, he pushed against security personnel and shouted that he wanted to confront Portable immediately.

In contrast to Portable’s charm, Carter Efe appeared dressed in white robes, carrying a Bible and anointing oil, symbolizing his personal form of spiritual preparation.

The fight, titled “Chaos in the Ring 4”, will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel and is sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control.

The event is promoted by Balmoral Group Promotions in collaboration with AK Promotions, owned by former world champion Amir Khan.

The professional undercard will feature a lightweight contest between Ezra Arenyeka and Godday Appah, along with several international bouts involving fighters from Ghana, Great Britain, Algeria and Tanzania.

The event is expected to attract widespread attention, with organizers predicting a high-energy clash when both performers finally meet in the ring on May 1.
