Adams, Simon score goals as Super Eagles beat Iran in friendly match

Moses Simon and Akor Adams scored for Nigeria’s Super Eagles as they cruised to a 2-1 win over Iran in an international friendly on Friday.

The Super Eagles have now achieved two wins and one draw from three meetings with Iran.

Head coach Éric Chelle named a strong starting XI featuring Maduka Okoye, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Semi Ajayi and Igoh Ogbu.

Other starters include Bruno Onyemaechi, Alex Iwobi, captain Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman and Adams.

In the second half, Paul Onuachu, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Chidera Ejuke and Frank Onyeka were introduced.

Debut appearances were handed to new call-ups Emmanuel Fernandez and Chibuike Nwaiwu during the match.

Nigeria will next face Jordan in another friendly on Tuesday, March 31, also in Antalya.
