Ondo SSG resigns, declares for Senate

Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, has resigned from his post to pursue his senatorial ambitions.

Fasoranti disclosed this in a letter given to journalists in Akure, Friday.

He also declared his intention to contest for the Ondo Central Senatorial District seat.

SSG said his decision was driven by a strong sense of responsibility, a lifelong dedication to public service and a strong belief in the potential of the people of the district.

Fasoranti noted that as a doctor for more than three decades, he is rooted in compassion, discipline and responsiveness to community needs.

He listed his career at State House Medical Centre, Abuja, where he rose to directorate level before retiring in 2024, including his current position as SSG, as important experiences that prepared him for national service.

“These roles have provided deep insight into governance, policy implementation, and strengthened his capacity to provide effective services in the National Assembly,” said Fasoranti.

He stressed that his ambition is based on people-centred representation and a desire to deepen the benefits of democracy across all communities in the district.
