Man, 25, arrested for murder in Ogun


The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, Abubakar Musa, for the murder of two persons and wounding of three others in Olambe area of ​​Ogun State.

According to a press release made available to Blueprint by the command spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the suspect was accused of attacking his victims with a knife after a failed business deal.

“The victims were trying to calm him down when the attack occurred,” the statement read.

Babaseyi added that two of the victims, Gbadamasi Ibrahim and Chinedu, died while being taken to hospital.

“The other three victims, Mohammed Abubakar, Ashiru Adamu and Paul Lawrence are in critical condition but responding to treatment.

“The suspect ran away after the attack but was later captured by investigators. He is now in police custody.

“The case and the suspect have been sent to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for investigation and prosecution.

“The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, condemned the attack and promised that justice will be served. He urged people to be alert and report any suspicious or violent behavior to the police,” the statement said.
