Leaders of the PRP and ADC factions met in Abuja

Leaders of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) faction on Friday held a meeting attended by prominent officials from both parties.

This meeting was attended by Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, National Chairman of the PRP, and Senator David Mark, National Chairman of the ADC faction. Also present were Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary ADC; Comrade Muhammed Ishaq, PRP National Publicity Secretary; Malam Salihu Lukman, along with other party officials.

During the meeting, the PRP through its National Chair expressed strong solidarity with the ADC in light of the ongoing dispute with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other government institutions.

The party condemned the attack and what it said were anti-democratic acts directed against the ADC by certain forces, and stressed that such acts undermine democracy and endanger the country’s stability.

In response, the ADC through its National Chair appreciated the support of the PRP, and acknowledged that the PRP is the only political party that has openly supported them during this challenging time. ADC also hopes that the positive relationship between the two parties will remain harmonious by prioritizing the collective interests of the nation.
