Troops of the Joint Task Force (North-East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have arrested a 15-year-old boy, who identified himself simply as Tijjani, for being part of the terrorist group that killed General Oseni Braimah, another officer and two soldiers in Borno State.

Tijjani made the confession in a video after he was captured by troops on Sunday as he went to buy food for his group.

Braimah, the commander of the 29th Task Force brigade under the OPHK, and others were killed on Thursday.

This occurred during an attack on their base by elements suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists.

Tijjani confirmed that he was arrested on Sunday in Ngamdu, Borno state.

The 15-year-old boy, who spoke in the Hausa language, said he was among the terrorists who attacked Benisheik and Ngamdu on Thursday.

He added: “Before the attack, we came to Jilli and returned there after the attack.

“Yesterday I was sent by Jilli with 850,000 naira to collect some logistics items from Ngamdu but I was arrested by the troops.

“Yesterday (Saturday) I left other fighters, my colleagues, in Jilli.
