The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revised the arrival times for candidates taking the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with slight adjustments from the schedule scheduled in the first session.
In an announcement made via X’s official platform on Monday, the board stated that candidates are now required to arrive at their exam centers at 7:00 am, replacing the previously set time of 6:30 am.
The board also confirmed that the inspection itself will start at 8.30 am and end at 10.30 am
The notice read, “Attention 2026 UTME Candidates: We hereby inform you of a slight adjustment to the scheduled arrival time, particularly for the first session, which is now 07.00 as compared to the previously published 06.30, while the scheduled session start time is now 08.30 and the end time is 10.30.”

JAMB emphasized that candidates do not need to reprint exam slips as a result of these adjustments.
According to the board, this updated timetable is part of a wider timetable structure, which accommodates four sessions daily from Monday to Friday across Computer Based Testing centers across the country.
These changes follow concerns raised by candidates and parents regarding the challenges associated with early travel, particularly issues related to safety and logistics for those traveling from remote locations before dawn.
The 2026 UTME is scheduled to take place between April 16 and April 25.
