…Celebrate your granddaughter’s academic excellence
The Vice President (South) of the All Progressives Congress, Ben Nwoye, has reiterated the party’s commitment to the inclusion of youth in governance.
He said this while celebrating his granddaughter Egboh Grace Chioma, who holds a Masters in Public Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria.
Nwoye described his granddaughter’s accomplishments as both a family pride and a national asset.
“Chioma represents the kind of young Nigerian leader our public sector needs: globally aware, socially rooted and administratively competent,” he said.
“As we push for greater youth inclusion in the 11th Assembly and beyond, this is the caliber we must integrate into governance. His academic record is not just a list of qualifications; he is a model for 21st century public leadership,” he added.
He further said that the party’s commitment to youth participation goes beyond symbolism.
“We need minds capable of translating grassroots ideas into policies and managing public institutions with transparency and competence,” he said.
He said the achievement marks a significant milestone, describing it as a deliberate academic advancement through diplomacy, social work and governance.
The achievement marks a significant milestone in what observers describe as deliberate academic progress across diplomacy, social work and governance.
Chioma previously holds a Diploma in International and Diplomatic Studies, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology with a specialization in Social Work, building a multidisciplinary foundation.
A governance analyst familiar with her journey said the combination positions her strongly for public service.
“Her foundation in diplomacy gives her an understanding of negotiation and stakeholder management. Social work grounds her in people-centered problem solving, while public administration bridges both goals for effective institutional management,” the analyst noted.
The findings indicate that Nigeria’s public sector increasingly needs professionals who combine technical skills with empathy and global visibility.
Industry observers say individuals with such a blend are well-suited for roles in policy analysis, legislative support, public sector reforms and development programs within NGOs and international agencies.
With the new qualification, Chioma is expected to contribute to governance, development and civic innovation, at a time when institutions are looking for new talent to strengthen service delivery and citizen engagement.
