DSS Hooks ‘Justice Crack’ to Army Power Viral Video, Test Set…

The DSS on Monday arraigned Justice Chidiebere Mark alias “Justice Crack” before the Federal High Court in Abuja over a viral post alleging poor nutrition among soldiers.

Mark was arrested by the military over the weekend after a video and posts from his X account, @JusticeCrack, went viral on April 28.

The DSS laid three charges against him: disseminating false information to cause “annoyance, ill-will and hatred” under section 24(1)(b) of the Cyber ​​Crimes Act; publish material capable of instilling fear and disturbing public order pursuant to article 59 of the penal code; and attempting to commit an offense by circulating a “derogatory video” likely to cause fear under section 509 of the Criminal Code.

Judge Joyce Abdulmalik adjourned until May 25, 2026 for the trial and possible bail hearing.

He ordered Mark to be held in DSS custody.

The DSS said the April 28 posts from Lot 88 Sabon-Lugbe, Abuja, generated “widespread negative public reactions”.
