Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench to score Celtic’s decisive goal in a 2-1 win over Hibernian.
The Nigerian striker made a strong impact in just 20 minutes of action, contributing several passes, a tackle and two ball recoveries along with his winning shot.
Speaking after the match, Iheanacho expressed his joy at helping the team get the three points.
“I always feel very good about always coming to help the team achieve victory, I always feel very good, the whole team is happy, the fans are also happy, which is good for us, the players.
“It’s very important to be patient when you play against ten men, it will be very difficult because you play against ten men because they will sit and wait for you to arrive, so you need patience to move from one side to the other to create those spaces. We did that and in the second half we got our reward.”
Celtic manager Martin O’Neill also praised Iheanacho’s contribution, highlighting his composure and quality in front of goal.

“We are delighted to have won the game. Iheanacho comes off the bench and shows some class, skill and composure to score.
“Sometimes it’s also difficult when you come off the bench, first of all you have to get into the game. He did everything perfectly, not only did he show great composure, he also put the ball and put it in the net, it’s what only he can do.”
Iheanacho has scored four goals in ten appearances this season in the Scottish Premiership, and continues to prove his value as a reliable impact player.
