25 Candidates Get Tickets to Fly the 2027 APC Flag (See Full List)

Gubernatorial candidates who will contest under the banner of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have emerged in 25 states across the country, following the conclusion of gubernatorial primaries on Thursday.

They were elected through consensus or direct primaries, even as the exercise was postponed in Kwara and Bauchi states by the APC National Working Committee amid rising tensions.

Below is the complete list of APC gubernatorial candidates who have so far contested the 2027 elections.

1. Abia – Eric Opah emerged as the APC candidate after garnering 126,977 votes, defeating Henry Ikoh who polled 5,905 votes.

2. Adamawa – Final results have not been announced, but Ahmed Galadima is reportedly in the lead.

3. Akwa Ibom – Governor Umo Eno emerged as the APC candidate by consensus.

4. Bauchi – Primary elections postponed and will resume today.

5. Benue – Governor Alia is leading by a wide margin and is expected to emerge as the APC candidate today.

6. Borno – Mustapha Gubio emerged as APC candidate by consensus.

7. Cross River – Governor Bassey Otu emerged as the APC candidate by consensus.

8. Delta – Governor Sheriff Oborevwori emerged as the APC candidate after garnering 345,375 votes.

9. Ebonyi – Governor Francis Nwifuru emerged as the APC candidate by consensus.

10. Enugu – Governor Peter Mbah emerged as the APC candidate by consensus.

11. Gombe – Jamilu Gwamna emerged as the APC candidate, polling 247,161 votes to defeat Professor Isa Pantami, who polled 12,120 votes, and former Transport Minister Saidu Ahmed Alkali, who polled 11,612 votes.

12. Jigawa – Governor Umar Namadi emerged as the APC candidate by consensus.

13. Kaduna – Governor Uba Sani emerged as the APC candidate after garnering 459,393 votes in the party’s primaries.

14. Kano – Governor Abba Yusuf emerged as the APC candidate by consensus.

15. Katsina – Governor Dikko Radda emerged as APC candidate by consensus.

16. Kebbi – Governor Nasir Idris emerged as APC candidate by consensus.

17. Kwara – Primary elections postponed and will resume today.

18. Lagos – Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat emerged as the APC candidate after garnering 657,917 votes, defeating Lanre Kamal who received 1 vote.

19. Nasarawa – Primary elections postponed and will resume today.

20. Niger – Governor Umaru Bago emerged as the APC candidate by consensus.

21. Ogun – Senator Solomon Adeola emerged as the APC candidate after garnering 304,055 votes to defeat Abayomi Hunye, who scored zero.

22. Oyo – Final results have not been announced, but Senator Sharafadeen Alli is reportedly in the lead.

23. Plateau – Governor Caleb Mutfwang is leading by a wide margin and is expected to emerge as the APC candidate today.

24. Rivers – Ogundu Kingsley Chinda emerged as the APC candidate after garnering 268,497 votes. He became the consensus candidate after three candidates, including Governor Fubara, withdrew from the contest.

25. Sokoto – Governor Ahmad Aliyu emerges as APC candidate by consensus.

26. Taraba – Governor Agbu Kefas is leading by a wide margin and is expected to emerge as the APC candidate today.

27. Yobe – Baba Malam Wali is leading by a wide margin and is expected to emerge as the APC candidate today.

28. Zamfara – Governor Dauda Lawal emerges as APC candidate by consensus.
