American-born Samuel Falomo declares his desire to represent the Nigerian Super Eagles

American-born defensive midfielder, Samuel Falomo, has exclusively revealed his dream of representing Nigeria at senior international level.

The 20-year-old, who was born in the United States and is eligible to play for both the United States and Nigeria, says his heart is set on wearing the green and white jersey of the Super Eagles.

Falomo, who currently plays for Romanian club CS Oașul 1969, revealed that representing Nigeria has always been his ultimate ambition.

“I grew up watching all the Nigerian national teams and my father visits Nigeria regularly,” he said.

“So I am committed to playing for Nigeria as that has always been my dream, and I hope it comes true.”

The versatile midfielder also expressed his admiration for the current Super Eagles team and hopes to one day share the field with some of Nigeria’s biggest stars.

“I follow all the Nigerian national teams, not just the Super Eagles. But obviously the Super Eagles are a great brand and have been blessed with great players like Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi and many more. I would love to be part of that team, but I have to keep working hard.” He concluded.

Falomo began his football development at the Barça Residency Academy in the United States before moving to Romania, where he continued his progression with CS Oașul 1969. The promising midfielder made 24 appearances for the club this season, gaining valuable first-team experience.
With his commitment to Nigeria now clear, Falomo hopes his performances in Romania will earn him recognition from the Nigerian Football Federation and potentially a future call-up to the Super Eagles.

In Romania, Falomo is considered a modern defensive midfielder with great positional awareness and the ability to read the game effectively.

He is also comfortable playing as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder or deeper playmaker with excellent tackling and interception skills.
