Five people died in Ogun car crash

At least five people died in a single-vehicle accident along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Ogun State on Thursday.

Spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, Route Commander Inspector Afolabi Odunsi, confirmed the incident to journalists in Abeokuta.

He said 10 other people were injured in the accident which occurred at around 11.12

He added that a white Mazda E2000 bus with registration number KRD 809XC was involved in the crash.

According to her. At the time of the incident, there were 20 people consisting of six men, 11 women, one boy and two girls.

“The five people who died in the accident were one man, two women, one boy and one girl.

“Initial investigations revealed that the possible causes of the accident were high speed and overload, because the road was paved and the weather conditions at the time of the incident were cloudy.

“The bodies of the victims were taken to the General Hospital in Ifo, while some survivors received treatment at the same hospital and the Oreofe General Specialist Hospital, Itori,” said the FRSC spokesperson.
