Buter Targets win against Abia Warriors

Sporting Lagos head coach Jeffrey Buter is aiming for maximum points when his team hosts Abia Warriors in the matchday four clash of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

Noisy Lagosians will host Imama Amapakabo’s men at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, on Sunday.

Buter’s team heads into the match with confidence after their victory over city rivals Inter Lagos in their previous outing.

Buter in a good mood

The Sporting Lagos coach believes that victory in the derby will give his players the much-needed confidence boost ahead of Sunday’s match.

“We’ve had a week of rest and training, and the guys seem ready. We’ve put the success of our last game behind us,” Buter said in a pre-game interview.

“We are looking forward to Sunday as we have had a good week of preparation.

“The win over Inter Lagos was important because we didn’t want to go two games without a win. It will also help us build momentum ahead of the clash against Abia Warriors and beyond.”

Buter now hopes his players can build on the success of the derby and get the three points against the visitors.
