The Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), FCT chapter, has submitted a strategic partnership proposal to the Federal Ministry of Defense aimed at promoting youth empowerment, national unity and creative economy development through music and entertainment initiatives.
The proposal, championed by PMAN FCT Chapter Governor, Michael Oyibo Kaycee, popularly known as Kaycee Kline, is designed to empower more than 3,000 youths across the Federal Capital Territory through structured training, mentorship and creative development programmes.
According to the association, over 85 public and private schools within the FCT have already expressed interest in participating in the initiative, which seeks to leverage music and entertainment as tools for social reorientation, peacebuilding and economic empowerment.

The proposal outlines several programs, including music education, creative entrepreneurship training, sound engineering, event management, theater production, digital entertainment marketing and talent discovery programs aimed at providing young Nigerians with practical skills for self-sufficiency.
PMAN has also proposed youth advocacy campaigns against drug abuse, cultism, violent extremism and other social vices through music-led communication and community engagement strategies.
As part of the initiative, the association plans to organize patriotic concerts, military entertainment tours and troop morale support programs to strengthen civil-military relations and promote national unity.
Speaking on the vision behind the proposal, the PMAN leadership highlighted the growing importance of the Nigerian entertainment industry as a viable platform for job creation, youth engagement and national development.
It is envisaged that the project will be implemented in phases, starting with stakeholder mobilization, followed by training in schools, workshops, mentoring sessions and performance demonstrations for participants.
The PMAN FCT chapter expressed confidence that the partnership will create sustainable opportunities for Nigerian youths, positively contributing to the growth of Nigeria’s creative economy and national direction goals.
The association reiterated its commitment to supporting national development through music, culture and youth empowerment, while seeking the collaboration and support of the Federal Ministry of Defense to bring the initiative to fruition.
