The Super Eagles retained the Unity Cup after beating Jamaica 3-0

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have clinched the 2026 Unity Cup after beating Jamaica 3-0 in the final at the Valley Stadium on Saturday night.

Eric Chelle’s boys started brightly when Alhassan Yusuf opened the scoring in the third minute.

The team continued their dominance in the match, with Terem Moffi making it 2-0 just one minute before the hour mark.

Yusuf then scored his second goal and Nigeria’s third in the 90th minute to seal the win.

Recall that Nigeria beat Zimbabwe 2-0 in the semi-final match to reach the final. Zimbabwe would finish third after beating India 1-0 in the third-place match.

The Eagles have now won the Afro-Caribbean tournament for the fourth time. Next up for the team are two international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.
