Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has named a 23-player squad for Nigeria’s upcoming international friendlies against Senegal as preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) intensify. Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and veteran striker Asisat Oshoala headline the list, which combines established stars with several emerging talents.

The squad features a strong core of players who have been regulars in the national team setup, including Jennifer Echegini, Gift Monday, Francisca Ordega and Rofiat Imuran. The matches against Senegal are expected to give Madugu another opportunity to assess her team ahead of the continental event, where Nigeria will look to extend their dominance in African women’s football.

Defensively, the coaching staff has retained several familiar faces including Oluwatosin Demehin, Shukurat Oladipo and Christy Ucheibe, while the midfield department is led by Ajibade, Halimatu Ayinde and Echegini. Up front, Oshoala leads an attack that also includes Gift Monday, Omorinsola Babajide, Folashade Ijamilusi and Blessing Nkor.
