It is over! Actor, Akin Olaiya, announced the end of his marriage almost 1 year later

Yoruba film actor, Akin Olaiya has announced that his marriage to Nafeesat Feenah Hammed has come to a head, coming almost a year after they both exchanged wedding vows.

‎The actor announced the end of his marriage to his wife in an official statement, revealing that the decision came after several failed attempts to resolve differences after his wife allegedly moved out of their marital home.

‎Olaiya further revealed that his wedding to Nafeesat was celebrated on June 29, 2025, at the Central Mosque, Sabo, Mokola, Ibadan, in the presence of family and loved ones.

‎According to the actor, this crisis started not long after their wedding was scheduled to attend an event in Lagos. He claims that his wife then told him that she was no longer interested in attending the engagement.

‎He alleged that before returning home that day, Nafeesat had packed his personal belongings and left the house without prior communication.

‎Olaiya said he made several efforts to resolve the issue, including contacting his wife and meeting with family members in an effort to restore peace and save the marriage.

‎However, he stated that all attempts at reconciliation were unsuccessful as his wife allegedly remained firm in her decision not to continue the relationship.

‎In his dissolution notice, the actor stated that his marriage was over, stating that Nafeesat was no longer his wife after she refused to return or reconsider the decision.
