Super Eagles guest close to joining newly promoted EPL Side Coventry City

Newly promoted to the English Premier League, Coventry City are close to announcing the signing of another Nigerian ahead of their campaign next season, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

In January, Frank Lampard’s side signed Nigerian international midfielder Frank Onyeka on loan from Brentford, and he was key in ensuring they maintained the momentum that led to automatic promotion from the Championship as champions.

His deal became permanent after his promotion as it was part of the obligation included in the loan agreement with Brentford. Another Nigerian is now in the final phase of joining the club.

We can exclusively reveal that 22-year-old Anthony Dennis, who plays for Turkish side Göztepe, is close to agreeing a deal with the team, with final details of the transfer said to be finalized in the coming days.

Dennis was part of the preliminary list of players called up by Nigeria senior national team coach Eric Chelle for the AFCON, but did not make the final 28-player list for the tournament.
