Arsenal star Kai Havertz has hit back at Gary Lineker after the former England striker claimed this is “one of the weakest German national teams I’ve ever seen”.
The German striker addressed the foreign comments during a press conference ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup round of 32 clash against Paraguay.

He stated that there is no need to pay attention to experts abroad when the German team already faces intense scrutiny at home.
The former Chelsea striker expressed optimism that Germany’s offensive unit will step up and prove their critics wrong.
“Everyone can have their own opinion. I have no problem with that,” said the 27-year-old.
“I didn’t even read what he said. In a tournament like this, a lot of people start talking about you. I don’t think anyone is listening to that.
“In our country we already have many experts, and if people from other countries start talking too, at some point it will be enough.

“It’s easy for people to criticize from the outside. That doesn’t interest me at all.”
The last time Germany faced Paraguay in the round of 16 of the 2002 World Cup, they earned a 1-0 victory thanks to a late goal from Oliver Neuville, a result they will try to replicate and prove Lineker wrong.
