
Organizers of Miss 9ja have opened registrations for the 2026 edition of the pageant, inviting aspiring contestants from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory to compete for the coveted crown and a total prize package worth ₦13 million.
The Managing Director of Miss 9ja, Mrs Adenike Isi Adeeko, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday.
She described Miss 9ja as more than a beauty pageant, saying it is a platform that celebrates the beauty, intelligence, culture and aspirations of young Nigerian women, while creating opportunities for leadership, empowerment and national impact.
According to her, participation has been made accessible to everyone, as registrations for Miss 9ja are completely free.
He explained that there are no registration fees, hidden costs or payments required at any stage of the application process.
Adeeko also announced that voting during the competition will be free, noting that the arrangement was designed to encourage authentic public participation and ensure that each contestant has an equal opportunity to succeed based on merit, personality and public appeal.
She said organizers are inviting bold, authentic and determined women, ready to represent their states and share their unique stories on the national stage.
Interested candidates, he added, can obtain and complete the application forms through the official website of Miss 9ja.
She said the journey to the crown begins with a single step and will culminate with the emergence of Miss 9ja 2027.
The winner will receive the official Miss 9ja crown, a signature gold ring, a grand prize of ₦10 million and the honor of becoming Nigeria’s People’s Choice.
First place will receive ₦2 million, while second place will go home with ₦1 million, bringing the total prize package to ₦13 million.
Organizers reiterated that registration is open, entry is free and voting is free, urging eligible contestants to participate with the slogan: “Be bold. Be authentic. Be the next Miss 9ja.”
