The South East Representative of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Chief Ugo Udezue, has congratulated the D’Tigers for their outstanding performance in the FIBA ​​Basketball World Cup Africa Qualifiers after the team completed a flawless qualification window with three wins from three matches.

Nigeria sealed their campaign in emphatic fashion with a thumping 106-62 win over Rwanda to secure a place in the second round of the African qualifiers.

Boss Udezue described the team’s performance as a testament to the resilience, discipline and quality of the players and coaching team, adding that the achievement further cemented Nigeria’s status as one of Africa’s basketball powerhouses.

He also commended the President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, Engineer Musa Kida, for providing focused leadership and creating an enabling environment for the growth of the game.
