I had the best moment during my tennis career: Federer

Former Swiss tennis star Roger Federer has revealed that he had the best time during his tennis career.

The 45-year-old Swiss legend will be inducted in her first year of eligibility alongside broadcaster and former player Mary Carillo.

Let us remember that Federer finished his competitive career with 1,251 victories, 103 titles at the circuit level and 20 Grand Slam trophies.

Ahead of the International Tennis Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday, tributes highlighted his impact, including Andre Agassi, who called him the best opponent he ever played against.

Beyond the statistics, Federer emphasized the deep friendships he built with players and tournament organizers over 25 years.

“I think when you retire, I think I said it before, there was also a lot of talk about my personality and what I brought to the game in general when I wasn’t on the court, which surprised me a little bit,” Federer said.

“I thought it was, at the time, about forehands and backhands, saving break points, wins and all that.

“But it actually becomes a little bit, not irrelevant eventually, but it’s about what they remember you for, how you behaved in the locker room or in the hallway or maybe with the media, or with the tournament directors, the ball boys.”

He earned numerous sportsmanship and fan favorite awards from the ATP Tour, cementing his reputation as one of the most beloved figures in tennis.

He remains involved in sports, occasionally hitting tennis balls with his children and attending select events.
