I was once paid to fake a miracle in church -Actor, Yemi Solade

Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has revealed that at one time in his career, he was paid to pretend to have received a miracle during a church program.

He said he accepted the money to pretend that he had a physical disability and that he had been cured.

Solade revealed this in an interview with Feel Right News TV on Wednesday, recalling an incident that happened when he was still a student and had yet to establish himself as a popular actor.

According to the veteran actor, he was recruited to act as a disabled person during his service and was paid for his participation.

“I was used for magic back then, when I was not popular. I played a disabled person, they paid, I used the money to drink, then I became a student,” said Solade.

The actor said the experience happened in his early years, before he became a recognized figure in Nollywood.

Solade, however, refused to reveal the identities of the people involved, explaining that they were still alive.

“Those involved are still alive, I just don’t want to name them,” he said.

His revelations have drawn attention to the issue of staged miracles and the alleged use of people to create the appearance of supernatural healing during religious services.

Solade’s account provides personal recollections of an incident he said he experienced as a young student, long before his acting career brought him widespread recognition.
