Doma United head coach, Deji Ayeni, has revealed that the club’s main objective is to make a good impression in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
After a dream start to the 2026/27 campaign, winning three consecutive games without conceding a single goal, Ayeni, in a chat with completespots.compraised his team’s defensive discipline and winning mentality.

Buoyed by major setbacks like their win over Enyimba, the Savannah Tigers are fully focused on maintaining their momentum and proving that their impeccable run is no fluke as they head into the clash against Kano Pillars.
“It is too early to judge any team at the moment but the most important thing is that we aim to make a very good impression in the league. And if we want to win the league title, so be it. But we want to compete well and be on top and we want to make a good impression on Nigerian football and the stakeholders.
“As for the match against Enyimba, it was a match that everyone was waiting for, and I am happy that we prepared well and the players responded very well. Don’t forget that Enyimba is the team I last coached before joining Doma United. So Enyimba is my former team and I know the club very well.

“I let the boys know that they can make a name for themselves through Enyimba because it is a big club in Africa and Nigeria as well.
