AFCONQ 2027: The Super Eagles arrive in Guinea-Bissau before the clash with Djurtus

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Bissau ahead of Tuesday’s 2027 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) matchday two qualifying clash against Guinea-Bissau.

The arrival of the Super Eagles was confirmed by their press officer, Peomise Efoghe.

The team, led by coach Eric Chelle, landed at the Osvaldo Vieira International Airport on Sunday night after departing from Uyo.

Nigeria will face the Djurtus on Tuesday, September 29 at the September 24 Stadium, as they continue their fight for qualification for AFCON 2027 in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

The Super Eagles come into the match looking to build on their good start to the playoffs, as a win in Bissau would put them in a solid position at the top of the group.

Guinea-Bissau got off to a perfect start to its own campaign thanks to a 2-0 win over AFCON 2027 co-host Tanzania.

After losing on the first day against Madagascar in Uyo, the Super Eagles triumphed 2-1, thanks to debutants George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor.
