Plymouth Argyle striker Owen Oseni is expected to be sidelined for around six weeks after suffering an ankle injury.
The 23-year-old suffered the injury during Plymouth Argyle’s clash against Crystal Palace Under-21s last month, playing for 33 minutes before being sent off.
Plymouth head coach Tom Cleverley provided an update on Oseni’s condition, revealing that the club is taking extra precautions due to the striker’s previous history of ankle problems.
“Because he has been injured in the past, the specialist recommended that we take a little more time to make sure the ankle heals and is as stable as possible,” Cleverley said. BBC Radio Devon.

“I’m disappointed for him because his season hasn’t gone well.
“He missed a lot of preseason and then he’s trying to get back to fitness. Then in some kind of play action, chasing a ball in the channel, the defender falls on him and he twists his ankle.
“It was an important game against the Palace Under-21s, and unfortunately it didn’t go well.”
Oseni joined the Pilgrims from Scottish side St Mirren last summer. He enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, scoring 10 goals in 33 appearances.
His performances also earned him his first senior cap for Nigeria in May.
