The federal government has directed all ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to adopt three digital tools to strengthen reform monitoring, knowledge management and performance monitoring in the federal public service.
The tools – Reform Tracker, Knowledge Repository and National Strategy for Public Service Reform (NSPSR) dashboard – were launched by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) in June 2026 to deepen e-Governance and accelerate public service reforms.
The directive is contained in a statement issued to Blueprint.ng correspondent on Friday by Aliyu Umar Aliyu, head of strategic communications, BPSR.
He said the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) gave the directive in a circular dated August 2026, with reference number 58786/S.III/C.6/T/56.
“According to the circular, all federal ministries, parastatals, agencies and commissions (MPACs) must register, integrate and actively use the platforms.
“The BPSR is tasked with facilitating adoption, monitoring compliance and reporting on implementation by the respective institutions.
“The BPSR said the Reform Tracker Dashboard will serve as the central mechanism to monitor reforms, milestones, rapid wins and key performance indicators across all MDAs,” it said.
Through the presentation and verification of data on reforms and supporting evidence, he said the platform should provide near real-time information on the implementation of reforms, strengthen performance management and increase accountability.
“The Knowledge Repository is designed as a central digital platform to store and access reform-related policies, strategies, reports, guidelines, case studies and research findings.
“It is intended to preserve institutional memory, facilitate knowledge sharing, reduce duplication of effort and support evidence-based policy development,” he said.
According to the directive, each MDA is required to designate a reform center manager to coordinate reform-related activities on the platforms.
