Zamfara L-PRES Coordinator reaffirms commitment to timely implementation of the project


The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) Zamfara State Coordination Office, Alh. Mohammed Nasiru, reaffirmed the office’s commitment to the effective and timely implementation of the L-PRES project in the State.
Nasiru is actively participating in the ongoing L-PRES Deployment Support Mission (ISM) in Yola, Adamawa State.

The Mission brings together state project coordinators, technical experts and the World Bank Mission team to review progress in project implementation.

The Zamfara state delegation is led by the state coordinator of the project, Alh. Mohammed Nasiru, together with key technical and administrative officials.

Presenting the implementation progress report, S Nasiru highlighted the key achievements of the State.

He said that during the technical sessions, participating states were given the opportunity to interact with the mission team on implementation experiences, achievements, challenges and priority actions.

According to him, Zamfara L-PRES has made significant progress in building and rehabilitating livestock development infrastructure across the state, capacity building and training for project beneficiaries, supporting farmers and carrying out livestock vaccination exercise across the state, among others.

In their responses, the Task Team Leader (TTL) and National Project Coordinator (NPC) of L-PRES commended the L-PRES team in Zamfara for its outstanding performance, particularly highlighting the high quality of livestock infrastructure provided by the State.

They described Zamfara as one of the high performing states in the implementation of L-PRES projects in Nigeria.
