“Deja Vu” is a soulful collaboration between Ghanaian rap heavyweight Sarkodie and Afropop singer KiDi, released on October 16, 2026. Produced by Ozedikus, the record is a fusion of hip life, hip-hop and smooth Afrobeats, exploring themes of romantic regret, responsibility and the fear of repeating mistakes in a difficult relationship.

In the tune, Sarkodie recalls a previous relationship, speaking to his beloved Ama as he admits his mistakes and begs for forgiveness. His Twi and English rap carries the weight of the song’s confession, while KiDi adds his melodious vocals to reinforce his plea for reconciliation.

The duet plays on the distinct qualities of the two Ghanaian artists, bringing together Sarkodie’s intricate rap delivery and KiDi’s silky singing. Instead of just telling the story of heartbreak as a breakup story, “Deja Vu” focuses on the difficult choice of whether to heal a relationship or risk falling back into the same harmful behaviors.
