As preparations intensify for the 2026 National Grassroots Sports Development Summit, the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President for Grassroots Sports Development has launched a dedicated website to provide information, facilitate registration and deepen public engagement ahead of the historic event.
The Summit, scheduled for November 18-19, 2026, at the Banquet Hall, State House, Presidential Villa, Abuja, is organized under the leadership of Hon. Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Grassroots Sports Development.
The website, [National Grassroots Sports Development Summit 2026](https://grass-root-sports.vercel.app) provides a digital platform through which potential participants can access information about the meeting, explore its program and register for free.
With the theme “Creating a new path for sustainable development of grassroots sport”, the Summit is expected to bring together policy makers, sports administrators, development partners, corporate organisations, coaches, athletes and other stakeholders to develop practical solutions to the challenges affecting Nigerian sport.
Adeboye described the digital platform as an important step in ensuring broader participation and making information about the Summit accessible to stakeholders in Nigeria and beyond.
“The future of Nigerian sports must be built through collaboration, innovation and deliberate planning. This Summit is about bringing together ideas, expertise and resources to create opportunities for young talents, especially those at the grassroots,” he said.
He added that the website would serve as an information hub as the countdown continues, allowing participants to follow program updates and learn about the Summit’s five priority areas: participation, talent development, infrastructure, sports economics and international pathways. base sports.vercel.app
