Liberia has called up Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper Derrick Daddy Julu to the national team for the first time ahead of the 2027 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) double-header against Cape Verde.
Julu earned his first invitation to Lone Star after an impressive run of form with the Niger Tornadoes, keeping three clean sheets in four appearances this month.
Liberia will travel to Praia to take on Cape Verde in their matchday three fixture on Friday, November 13, 2026, before hosting the island nation in Monrovia four days later for the second leg.

Lone Star are under pressure to revive their qualification campaign after losing their first two matches.
The West Africans began their campaign with a 3-1 away defeat to Rwanda before suffering a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Mali, leaving them without a point after two matches.
Julu’s inclusion could be a boost for Liberia as they look to get their qualification campaign back on track.
