Zimbabwe coach, former Mourinho Assistant Slammed by Media for Selection Against Super Eagles

Zimbabwe head coach, Baltemar Brito insists all hands must be on deck for his side to have good outing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria.

Brito came under heavy scrutiny from the local media after his squad for the games was dominated by local league players.

The Brazilian has already invited 28 players for the game, with just one foreign based professional.

Reacting to the criticisms, Brito, says it’s important for the people to get behind the team.

“Let’s unite and rally behind the national team. We are here to try to do our best, Everyone is here to do their best, so we expect the nation to give the best of support.

“We will try to create a good moment for them (fans),” Brito was quoted by the official website of the Zimbabwe Football Association.

Zimbabwe will start their campaign with a trip to Rwanda, before they host Nigeria four days later.

The Warriors will host the Super Eagles at Huye Stadium on Wednesday, November 19.
