Bug got him too! Osimhen sick, stays back as Super Eagles Fly out of Abidjan

Osimhen stayed back at the team’s Pullman hotel in Abidjan under the supervision of a medical officer, according to the report.

Nigeria faces South Africa on Wednesday in the first semi-final of this Africa Cup of Nations.

The Forward’s health could be a further cause for worry about the hygiene situation at the hotel, with several other teammates having suffered stomach flu since the commencement of this tournament.

Whilst Osimhen is expected to make a full recovery before Wednesday’s match, he could be rested for the team’s final practice session before matchday.

The Super Eagles arrived at Bouaké on Monday night, and will commence the final-leg of their preparation for the Bafana Bafana match.

Wednesday’s semi-final match will be held at Stade de la Paix, and kick-off is 5pm local time.
