Nigerian and Afropop musician Fanzy Papaya joins forces with indigenous highlife duo Ejima042 for “Erenpe,” a new single released in October 2026.

The partnership brings together artists with deep connections to Igbo music and the highlife heritage of southeastern Nigeria. Fanzy Papaya is the lead singer, and Ejima042 adds her particular individuality as a duet recognized for indigenous high life.

Musically, the release falls into the highlife tradition that has remained central to both artists’ work. The mix of Fanzy Papaya’s Afropop background and Ejima042’s highlife experience provides the collaboration with a high sense of style, especially for listeners who are aware of today’s Igbo music.
