Development of grassroots sports: The Minister of Sports meets with Mrs. Hadiza Bala Usman about their progress

Senator John Owan Enoh, Minister of Sports, and Hadiza Bala Usman, Director of CDCU and Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, met yesterday to discuss the advancement of grassroots sports development.

The main theme of the meeting was the need to promote sports development in Nigeria, especially at the local level and in line with President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s #AgendaRenewedHopeAgenda.

Senator John Owan Enoh stated: “We are committed to harnessing the potential of sports to promote youth development, healthy living and national unity.” β€œToday we talked about ways to support local sports development and give young Nigerians more opportunities to succeed in a variety of sports.”

β€œWe are dedicated to creating an enabling environment for sports to thrive in Nigeria and believe that grassroots development is key to achieving this goal,” Bala-Usman said, reaffirming the administration’s support for sports development.

The implementation of the #AgendaOfRenewedHope for Nigeria’s sports development has significantly advanced with this meeting.
