A former presidential candidate and publisher of Ovation magazine, Dele Momodu, has said that no matter how long Bola Tinubu spends in office, he will fail spectacularly and sink Nigeria.

In a post titled: “A nation in suffering” on his X account, Momodu said the Bola Tinubu administration is making the same mistakes, if not worse, than those made by previous administrations, especially that of President Muhammadu Buhari .

He said Tinubu had surpassed former President Muhammadu Buhari in negative performance indicators within barely a year of his tenure.

According to Momodu, Nigeria was going through a leadership crisis that was taking the country from bad to worse.

“A NATION IN PAIN…

“It should be obvious to most reasonable Nigerians that the government of PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU is clearly going in the wrong direction and that only a miracle can avoid the catastrophic conundrum that awaits us.

“What the night will be like can be predicted in the morning. Only the worst of optimists would have expected something better. Let us be clear: the Lagos State model will not work in Abuja. In just one year, Tinubu outperformed PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI in all negative indices.

“This is the sad story of leadership in Nigeria, how we continue to go from bad to worse. Politics often attracts those who simply wish to be in power, for the sake of vanity. Usually these are personal achievements, or aggrandizement, and not national assignments or achievements.

“Because we know the backgrounds of some of those who lead us today, we can easily paint a picture of the lack of rigor, in the seats of power. This is why I wish to put on record that one of the Brothers of TINUBU is about to express his opinion and offer solutions that are not difficult to activate and implement, if a leader ever had good intentions.

“Inside the villa the President is venerated as a hero. Those around him paint a picture of “things are getting better, only opposition people bitch and complain…” The truth is that nothing works. Those who wish to remain in Tinubu’s good books can continue to delude him and themselves. We know what most people hear outside and what many whisper behind. Some of them are in government only to grab their loot as quickly as possible. It is not always because of desperate needs, but because of Man’s despicable greed. They were guided by him and largely encouraged by the sheer audacity of wealth that paved the way for him to ultimate power.

“Let those who still care implore these people to have mercy on Nigeria. No matter how much time TINUBU passes, it will fail, spectacularly, and sink Nigeria, unless it can dramatically reduce its government’s insensitivity and constant rallies… Unfortunately, it does not seem inclined to do so…”
