Shettima rejected Tinubu’s claims of discrimination against Northern Nigerians

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Wednesday dismissed insinuations that President Bola Tinubu is against the interests of Northern Nigeria.

Shettima stated this when he received a Federal Government delegation led by the Chief of Presidential Staff, Femi Bajabiamila, on a condolence visit over the death of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar, in Kano.

He cited the appointment of two defense ministers, the Chief of Defense Staff, and the Chairman of the Police Services Commission (PSC), among others, from North Korea as evidence of the president’s commitment to the region’s growth.

The Vice President emphasized that governance goes beyond political party affiliation.

Shettima added that the unity and progress of the country is more important than party differences.

He reminded that Nigeria’s greatness is a shared responsibility, and political party affiliation should not be a measure of division and destruction.
