Biden team rejects troop withdrawal talks, vows to stay in presidential election despite setbacks

Amid growing concerns and rumors about a potential withdrawal, the White House has steadfastly denied that President Joe Biden is considering dropping out of the presidential race.

Spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre, on Wednesday, said Biden was โ€œclear-eyed andโ€ฆremains in the race.โ€

The confirmation comes after a tumultuous week following Biden’s performance in a debate against Donald Trump, which sparked panic in the Democratic Party and fueled speculation about possible replacement candidates.

Polls showing Trump gaining support have further increased the pressure.

In a call with campaign staff and party leaders, Biden vowed, โ€œIโ€™m going to be in this race to the end, and weโ€™re going to win.โ€

Democratic governors, including Wes Moore, Tim Walz and Kathy Hochul, have pledged their continued support, with Walz attesting to Biden’s fitness for office.
