National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu, on Wednesday reunited the kidnapped children of Kaduna State Judge, Janet Gimba, with their families.
Recall that on June 23, 2024, the judge and his four children were kidnapped when bandits stormed their residence.
The bandits released her on Sunday and demanded a ransom of N150 million for the release of her children, giving a three-day ultimatum.
However, in a statement issued on Wednesday, Hakim’s husband, Dr. Musa Gimba said he was reunited with his three rescued children yesterday.
Gimba said his eldest son was killed before his wife was released.
He said his children were rescued after a “successful rescue operation carried out by security forces.”
“On behalf of my family, I would like to issue this statement to inform the public that yesterday, July 9, 2024, my wife and I were reunited with our 3 surviving sons.

“As you may recall, somewhat tragically, during the ordeal that began with their kidnapping on June 23, 2024, our first child was killed by the kidnappers before his mother was released for a ransom of N150 million.
“However, the security forces, displaying extraordinary professionalism and courage, successfully carried out the rescue operation. Thanks to careful planning and coordination, led by the Office of the National Security Adviser, our three surviving children are now free.
“Although we are still deeply grieving the loss of our eldest son, who died before reaching his prime, we are grateful to God for the opportunity He has given us to be reunited with our surviving children.
“We would like to use this medium to end this horrific and unforgettable experience, which we would not wish on anyone. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, who, in one way or another, played a significant role in getting us to this point,” the statement read.
