CAF C Course: Nigerian Football Coaches Association, Oyo State Chapter, provides financial support to its female members

Leadership is about helping and impacting the lives of others.
This is exactly what the leadership of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Oyo State Chapter under the able leadership of Coach Akinola Olatunji and his able excos who offered financial assistance to support the female coaches who will be participating in the upcoming CAF C Course in Abuja to have a smooth and joyful journey in the programme.

It may be recalled that the Association recently launched Operation “No License, No Practice” in the state where key players were present to wage war against unregistered members using different nomenclature which has no place in the Association’s bylaws nor is it recognized nationally, thereby misleading innocent members of the public.

The programme had over 1,400 members across the 33 local government areas of the state.

The versatile President, Coach Akinola, while speaking with journalists in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, on Saturday, disclosed that the financial assistance provided to female coaches participating in the CAF C programme in Abuja became imperative in view of the current economic challenges, stressing that capacity development is part of the Association’s cardinal programmes.

In his words:

“On behalf of all the members of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, NFCA, Oyo State Chapter, I wish to sincerely thank the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF for organizing the career boosting programme, CAF C Course for our female coaches. The first phase was a huge success and we believe that this one will also be an improvement on the previous one.”

“Well, as part of the core programmes of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Oyo State Chapter, we have offered financial support to our members who are looking for CAF C coaches in Abuja to help ameliorate the challenges that may arise from it.”

“Let me reiterate that capacity building for registered members is sacrosanct and providing financial support to our members running for CAF C is like fulfilling part of our mandates. We have been doing it and will continue to develop it to support our members and develop them professionally.”

“While we wish them a successful program, we emphasize that the Association will continue to invest in programs that advance the careers of our members in our own way,” said the grassroots advocate.

All is set for the first ever CAF C Coaching Course organised by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) exclusively for women, with the first module to be held from July 15-25 at the NFF/FIFA Technical Centre, inside the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
