Joshua will suffer Wardley’s fate on December 11, 2026 – Fury

Tyson Fury has warned Anthony Joshua that he will suffer the exact same fate as Fabio Wardley when the long-awaited British mega-showdown takes place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium later this year.

Daniel Dubois reclaimed Wardley’s belt in a grueling 11-round war in May, where he stepped off the canvas twice to force a late stoppage.

However, Dubois made light work of the former white-collar boxer in their rematch in London on Saturday night, dropping his rival with a powerful right hand less than 20 seconds into the first round.

After a barrage of unanswered punches in the second round, Wardley’s corner threw in the towel to get their man out. After more than a decade of waiting, Fury and Joshua will finally meet on December 11th live on Netflix, with the WBA world title officially on the line.

Reacting to the action, the 38-year-old “Gypsy King”, who is also eager to avenge his defeats against former undisputed world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, vowed to become a three-time world champion with a devastating knockout of his long-time foe. In a video posted to Instagram, Fury said: “It was a very exciting heavyweight fight between Dubois and Wardley. Fair play to both guys.

“Kudos to Daniel for retaining the belt with a nice knockout. Here’s how you get them out of there, big Dan. “That’s exactly what’s going to happen to AJ on December 11th: spark. Get up.”
