Governor Abdullahi Sule dissolves Nasarawa United Management Company

Nasarawa State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule has dissolved the management team of Nasarawa United Football Club, previously led by Dr Othman Ahmed Ibrahim.

The announcement was made by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, after a high-level meeting held at his temporary office in Lafia, the state capital.

Present at the meeting were the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Jafaru Ango; the Permanent Secretary, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi; and the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sule on Sports Affairs, Comrade Hamza Ibrahim Moyi. Also participating in the session were members of the now-disbanded management team of Nasarawa United.

This unexpected decision is part of a wider effort by the state government to restructure and improve the performance of the state-owned men’s football club. Details of the reasons for the dissolution and the future direction of the club will be provided in due course.
