ADC is nominating three presidential candidates for 2027

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has produced three presidential candidates for the 2027 general elections.

A faction in the party led by the national faction chairman, Bala Gombe has announced businessman, Prof. Chris Uba, as presidential candidate for the 2027 general election following the end of the national primaries.

They also handed over flags to 29 gubernatorial candidates in the country’s six geopolitical zones.

In another development, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also earlier emerged as the presidential candidate of the party faction led by David Mark after defeating former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi and former banker Mohammed Hayatu-Deen in the primaries held in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

Meanwhile, a third faction led by 2023 presidential candidate Dumebi Kachikwu has chosen him as the sole presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Chairman of the Electoral Committee and Chairman of the Benue State Party, Elias Adikwu, announced the adoption of Kachikwu, which was ratified by delegates at the ADC National Convention held on Sunday at A-Class, Abuja.

For now, it is still unknown which faction will put its candidate on the ballot, because the court cases have not yet been decided.
