Africa Senior Weightlifting Championship: NWF charged Nigerian athletes while the NSC leadership gives money

The president, the Nigeria Weightlifting Federation (NWF), dr. Abdul Ibrahim, has accused the athletes who represent Nigeria at the Pesi lifting championship of 2025 African win gold medals for the country.

2025 Africa Senior Weightlifting Championship (ASWC) in Mauritius will officially begin on Thursday with four athletes from Nigeria in competition.

Didih onome Omolola in 55 kg and Lawal Rafiatu Folashade 59 kg will be in action in the morning while Tuesday Emmanuel, with 67 kg and Umoafia Edidiong Joseph in 73 kg, will compete later.

The participation of Nigeria in the championship will be completed on Friday with Ayodele Ruth Imoleayo with 64 kg and Matthew Sarah Ovayiza in competition in the categories of 76 kg women.
