After years of speculation, actress Jennifer Aniston has revealed it

Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston is opening up about her two-decade battle with infertility, and for the first time revealing the emotional impact it has had on her personal life and career.

In a heartfelt confession, the 56-year-old actress said she underwent multiple IVF treatments and tried “everything” in her quest to become a mother. “It was a hard road—years of speculation, whispers and judgment—but now I can say I’ve made peace with it,” Aniston said.

According to Jennifer, who was interviewed for the November 2025 issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, her work has thrived because she has found love again and is using her position to question cultural myths that previously portrayed her as a person of power rather than sympathy.

“They don’t know my story,” Aniston told Harper’s Bazaar. “They don’t know what I’ve been through for twenty years trying to have a family because I didn’t go there and tell them my health problems.”

She continued, “It’s nobody’s business. But there are times you can’t help but hear them—stories about how I won’t have a baby, won’t have a family, because I’m a selfish, workaholic. It affects me—I’m only human. We’re all human.”

Aniston, who personally underwent failed IVF treatments, said she finally felt compelled to speak out in an op-ed she wrote in 2016. “I knew a lot of women at the time who were trying to have children, who were going through IVF,” she explained. “So, it feels like this is not just happening to myself, but to any woman who is experiencing the same problem.”
