APC denies viral list claiming to reveal primary election winner

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected a fake list circulating on social media and other online platforms purporting to contain the names of the winning candidates in the just concluded primaries.

In a public notice issued on Sunday, the ruling party clarified that it had not released an official compilation of successful candidates and warned party members and the public against relying on unofficial reports.

The disclaimer signed by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, was published via the party’s official X account.

The party stressed that any publication claiming to announce the results of the primary election did not originate from its leadership.

According to the statement, “The public is advised to ignore any publications or reports purporting to announce the results of the primary election, as such information is false and illegitimate.”
