The emergence of Lawyer Mrs Ngozi Pat Ekeji as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency has continued to attract widespread praise and support from party faithful, stakeholders and supporters across the constituency.
At the APC primary election venue, supporters erupted in celebration, chanting “Olaedo, Olaedo” as Mrs Ekeji was declared the winner of the party primaries. Many described her as a proven leader with a strong record of service, connection to the grassroots and commitment to the well-being of the people.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, the Hon. Chioma Mbah congratulated Mrs Ekeji on her appearance, describing her as a compassionate, humble and people-oriented leader who has consistently shown concern for the well-being of others.
According to him, the former MP has remained a source of inspiration to many due to her caring nature and ability to relate to people from all walks of life.
“She is a lovely woman and an idol for many people because she always considers the feelings and well-being of others. She is always happy when people around her are happy and has continued to touch lives in a positive way,” Mbah said.
He added that his emergence as the flag bearer of the APC has renewed hope and enthusiasm across the constituency, expressing confidence in his leadership ability and commitment to grassroots development.
Also, Mrs. Agwajimma Nwachukwu_Agbada described Mrs. Ekeji as “a wonderful woman” whose impact was greatly felt during her tenure in the Imo State House of Assembly.
According to her, Aboh Mbaise residents remain optimistic that the APC candidate will perform even better in the federal House of Representatives.
“She is a great representative for the Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala federal constituency. Aboh Mbaise has tested her and performed very well. Now that she will represent both Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala, we believe she will do more and achieve even better results,” he said.
Mrs. Agbada further described the APC candidate as a woman of substance whose political journey has positively influenced women across the constituency.
“The way she handled her politics projected women in a positive way and proved that politics is not just for men. Many women are now encouraged to aspire for political office due to her example,” she added.
Stakeholders at the event also lauded Mrs Ekeji’s dedication to grassroots empowerment and delivery of democratic dividends, expressing optimism that her representation at the federal level would attract more development projects and opportunities for both Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala.
Hon Chioma Mbah has reaffirmed her support for the APC candidate and pledged to mobilize support for her ahead of the general elections, arguing that her appearance marks a significant step towards quality representation for the constituency.
Also speaking were the councilor representing Nguruwe Nkwo Ward in the Aboh Mbaise Legislative Chamber, Hon.Uchenna Maginus Odoemene, together with Hon. Uche Obinna, expressed confidence that the emergence of Lawyer Ngozi Pat Ekeji would bring dividends of democracy to the people of the constituency.
The lawmakers noted that Mrs. Ekeji had consistently demonstrated commitment to grassroots development and empowerment through her previous engagements with the people.
They particularly remembered Aboh Mbaise’s youth skills acquisition programme, which they said has continued to produce skilled people who are now in paid employment and supporting their families.
The two urged party faithful and voters to rally support for the APC candidate ahead of the general elections, describing her as a proven and reliable leader with the ability to deliver quality representation.
