APC Revises 2027 Election Calendar and Makes Payment Accounts Available

The All Progressives Congress has published a revised calendar and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, adjusting the timelines for screening, primaries, roll calls and related internal party processes, while also publishing designated bank accounts for the purchase of expression of interest and nomination forms.

The notice, issued on Monday by the party’s National Secretariat, Buhari House, Abuja, was signed by the National Organizing Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and confirmed by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

The party said: “In accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026 and the revised calendar and program of activities of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2027 general elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) publishes its revised calendar and program of activities for the elections.”

According to the schedule, the sale of forms will take place from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while the submission of completed forms will close on May 4, 2026.

Screening of aspirants is set for May 6 to May 9, 2026, covering the state Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship and presidential aspirants in phases.

The party added: “Roll Call Selection: State House of Assembly and House of Representatives – Tuesday 12th to Wednesday 13th May 2026.”

Primary elections will begin on May 15, 2026, starting with the House of Representatives, followed by the Senate, state Houses of Assembly, governorship, and presidential primaries, ending on May 23, 2026.

The APC has also published the cost of the expression of interest and application forms.

He stated: “House of Assembly – N1,000,000 (expression of interest) and N5,000,000 (nomination). House of Representatives – N1,000,000 and N9,000,000. Senate – N3,000,000 and N17,000,000. Governorship – N10,000,000 and N40,000,000 – N30,000,000 and N70,000,000.

“Women aspirants, youth and aspirants with physical disabilities have to pay expression of interest and 50% of the prescribed application fees for each position.”

The APC directed that all payments be made to the designated party accounts, stating: “All payments should be made in full directly to the designated bank account of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as follows: Union Bank Plc – 0239691733; UBA Plc – 1025098328; Zenith Bank Plc – 1014008105.”

The revised timetable comes as political parties step up preparations for the 2027 general elections in line with constitutional provisions, the 2026 Electoral Law and guidelines issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission, with the APC saying the adjustments are aimed at ensuring smoother internal processes and coordination of its primaries nationwide.
