Arsenal, Liverpool advance to fourth round of Carabao Cup

Arsenal and Liverpool progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after winning on Wednesday night.

Arsenal secured a 5-1 win over Bolton while Liverpool also beat West Ham 5-1.

Ethan Nwaneri scored twice for Arsenal, while Declan Rice, Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz were also on target, with 16-year-old Jack Porter in goal.

For Liverpool, Diogo Jota scored twice, Cody Gakpo also scored twice while Mohamed Salah scored once to give the Reds a comfortable win.

West Ham, whose goal was scored by Jarell Quansah, ended the game with 10 men after Edson Álvarez received a second yellow card.

The fourth round draw took place immediately after Wednesday night’s games.
